David Diacon

David Diacon is a fifth generation Montanan, originally from Big Sandy. He received an A.A.S. degree in paralegal studies from the University of Montana in 2014. Dave worked for several years as a paralegal before he returned to the University of Montana to earn a B.A. (Philosophy) in 2020. He continued at the University of Montana to receive a J.D. from the Alexander Blewitt School of Law in December 2022.

Dave grew up working on his family’s farm in Big Sandy. Prior to entering the legal profession, Dave worked several years in commercial construction and over a decade in the trucking industry. Dave also worked in several roles with the Montana Department of Transportation, including highway maintenance, construction, and dispatch. He also taught health and safety courses for the American Red Cross for ten years. Dave spends his leisure time hiking trails with his friends and his dog Lily.

John Gardner

After graduating from Phillips Academy in Andover, MA, John attended Colby College in Waterville, ME. At Colby, John conducted research in and managed the neuroscience laboratory. He graduated with distinction and with a BA in neuroscience in 2012. John moved to Montana after he finished his BA. He started a whitewater and fishing guide service which he operated for 7 years until he attended law school at University of Montana beginning in 2020. During law school, John participated in moot court and earned the intellectual property sector award. He plans on studying for an LLM in tax starting in the fall of 2025. John is an avid outdoorsman and an accomplished classical pianist. In his free time, he enjoys playing music, fishing, bird hunting with his dog, Woody, and skiing.
