Meet Our Attorneys

David W. Diacon

     A fifth-generation Montanan from Big Sandy, David Diacon brings a wealth of real-world experience to his legal practice. He earned an A.A.S in Paralegal Studies from the University of Montana in 2014 and later completed his B.A in Philosophy in 2020. In December 2022, he received his J.D from the Alexander Blewitt School of Law. 

     Before entering the legal profession, David worked extensively in commercial construction, trucking, and with the Montana Department of Transportation in highway maintenance, construction, and dispatch. His background in construction has proven invaluable in resolving defect disputes, and his experience in farm business law has helped clients achieve fair outcomes in agricultural divorces. 

     David is licensed with the State Bar of Montana and admitted to practice in Montana courts and the United States District court, District of Montana. 

     In his free time, he enjoys hiking with friends and his dog, Lily. 

John E. Gardner

     John E. Gardner graduated with distinction from Colby College in 2012, earning a B.A in Neuroscience. After moving to Montana, he founded and operated a successful whitewater and fishing guide service for seven years before pursuing law at the University of Montana in 2020. 

     During law school, John participated in moot court and received recognition in the field of intellectual property law. He plans to further his legal education by pursuing an LLM in tax law in 2025. 

     An avid outdoorsman and accomplished classical pianist, John enjoys fishing, skiing, bird hunting with his dog Woody, and playing music in his spare time.
